Lapping project - trying this out

Vertical method here. I also use drill spinning probably 100 rpm. I hold trigger with thumb and apply pressure to the “butt” of the drill. Right at rear of drill motor. Not a lot, just enough to get it to bite. I’ve seen dramatic improvements in accuracy, and scope alignment by lapping. It’s no different than when I blueprint a bolt action receiver, with my last operation being to square the face of action.
