FLs, any update? If the rail is touching the gas block then that will certainly affect your grouping as pressure on the barrel will change when you change where / how you are griping the handguard. Were that my rifle, in part as stated above, I would remove the handguard and dismount the barrel. Then reassemble after truing up the receiver extension face and use loctite when installing the barrel ( unless it is already an interference fit ). The only ARs that I have seen that had non-repairable bad accuracy were some of the plastic ones where the barrel could not be broken loose and bedded.
