22-250 magazine for the American will allow a 2.865" cartridge.
Typical coal for a 22-250 cartridge is 2.350" .
Did not get to take possession of the rifle; I declined accepting it. Had the finish scraped off of the barrel just forward of the action on the left side for about 2.5 - 3" all the way down to the metal.
Probably be about two weeks to order in another.
