I just acquired a Ruger American 22-250 over the weekend and the thought hit me that the Grendel cartridge might fit the 250's magazine fairly well. I didn't fill the mag, but a single 120 Gold Dot in the 250 mag fed right up into the bigger 22-250 chamber with ease. I ran the bolt just far enough to see that it picked up the cartridge and lined up perfectly, but not far enough to actually fully chamber the Grendel round.
I am supposed to get my Predator Grendel this Tuesday evening and the first thing I might do after a thorough cleaning is put the Grendel action in the American stock and try feeding from a 22-250 magazine full of Grendels.
I would really rather have a flush-fit magazine for hunting anyway even if it limits capacity to 4.
