gwtx, one thing I didn't notice nor see on a quick re-scan of your posts is what magazine are you using?
I had a similar issue to your last post that was actually a bad magazine, the catch slot was cut too low so it caused excess drag on the carrier and bolt which resulted in exactly what you described.
FWIW it was a 4 rd. Elander, my 17's have been fine.
