Those events are a historical record of populations that did not think their 'leaders' would ever do what they said they would do. And they found out that people most certainly will do what they say they will do.
When you have presidential candidates who believe the Constitution is only a speed bump in their route towards making us a truly 'progressive' (Communist / Statist) society, and who will impeach conservative judges and replace them with leftists who will automatically put a stamp of approval on anything they dictate, only someone who knows nothing about history would believe that they are just catering to their base and have no intention of doing what they say they will do.
