Thought I would add my 2c. I have been purchasing the AR-Stoner 6.8 magazines from Midway. I retro the magazines with ISMI springs and cut the followers about 1/4 to 1/2" inch on both sides of the follower ( I have "eyeballed" the cut. Not sure about the specifics.) and they hold 15 rounds. Cutting the follower allowed for the magazine to seat properly with a closed bolt. Without cutting the follower there was no "movement" for the stack and a difficult seat for the magazine. Also, there is NO difference between the grey 6.8 follower to the blue 6.5 follower. I know much of this has been mentioned before on the forum but, I wanted to affirm what others have said. I also feed that the straight bodied magazine is more reliable. It is true that occasionally I get a magazine that will not fall free from the magazine well when empty and I discard them but, I think that is more quality control or consistancy than anything else. This process has worked for me. Of course it is my wish that we could see functional magazines that hold 20 and 30 rounds in the future. Here's hoping!
