[ATTACH=CONFIG]14518[/ATTACH]I use a Security Torx bit to hold the pin and act as a punch. The Security version has a hole in the top where you put the roll pin. The depth of the hole holds about half of the pin. Tap it in until the bit comes up against the gas block then take it away and finish with the hammer.
A cheap set is a few dollars and you can also use them for scope screws. I can't remember exactly which one but there is one in the set that holds the pin snugly.
