I have never seen a 2-piece, in several of the AR15 style rifles/pistols I've seen or handled.
(Correct me if I'm wrong) The extractor is made out of really hard tool steel, maybe Carpenter 58 or such, and as such does not lend itself to any welding.
Don't know what those guys are talking about. Maybe if they posted some picture blow-ups so we could see them... otherwise just blowing smoke.
Well..... I guess if you mean the spring vs the extractor body, that's 2 pieces.... but that would not be welded, so why make such a claim even like that?
