I have been machining 7.62x39 bolts for about 4 years, we machine about 480 AR15 bolts a month (100 7.62x39 usually)along with, muzzle devices, 6BR bolts, handguards and what ever else I feel like. The only 2 bolts that have broken in that time were special Grendel bolts with a .011 deeper recess because this guy had already broken some other Grendel bolts. When he called about the second one I asked him to send the upper so I could check the receiver to make sure it was square. It was not so I squared it and have heard nothing since so I guess he hasn't broken another. As for the 7.62x39 bolts there are thousands out there being used and thats a fact.
On most forums you will be banned if you use someones name in a post or tie a screen name with a real name because some think it gives info to thieves who may stop by and take your weapons while you are away. As for dealers everyone knows who we are and exactly where we are, but just guys with a sceen name can be as assholish as they want to be without thinking "hey someone I know may think I'm an ass hole". Thats just one of the things to deal with on the errornet. As for me I am sure everyone knows who I am...good thing about being infamous.
In my description of the barrels and uppers it states very clearly the neck size, and throat angle. Don't worry about the Grendel name, I'll make sure I don't use it on my products. I wouldn't want to offend any of the Grendel forum members.
You guys keep pushing ahead, ban together to get someone to load that 100gr TTSX in a factory load....email drives have worked well for the 6.8.
Don't worry bwaites I won't be around, I have guys on arfcom that think the 300blk is a 1000 yd cartridge and you know how hard it is to kill rumors over there after the kids start yakking.
