As to Trump's attitude toward the 2A, that was shown by his action in prohibiting the ownership and possession of a firearm accessory that even the ATF had considered legal.
Lazy's prediction on here's how that's going to play out: The bumpstock device ban, that Trump banned by decree, is going to be overturned by the courts. The US Congress will then pass legislation to legally actually ban them. When they do so, other devices such as binary triggers (which actually DO require a conscious willful act to cause the gun to discharge every round), will likely also be caught up in that dragnet. It will get signed.
As to Trump pro/anti second: I look forward to whatever better option people are thinking of. In the meantime, we've had a stay on nation-wrecking judicial nominees. Jimmy Carter's Federal judge Marianna Pfaelzer, single handedly destroyed California.
