I have visited Europe several times. Mostly because the Boss of 49 years of marriage wanted to go. Most of the visit was in Germany and Switzerland. Switzerland was mostly because of the Sound Of Music Movie and the people like shooting. I like their Law. Switzerland is the only nation on earth that still holds faith in Jeffersonian Law. Why is Switzerland the only Nation Germany left alone during WWII?
In a small town in Germany, I forget the name, an old walled Roman City, a shop owner tried to sell me a Swiss k31 Rifle. He told me he could get the Rife to me in the States. I did not beleave him and for all I know, he still has the Rifle.
I shot at a range in Switzerland. Had to barrow a rifle and buy the ammo. Beautiful and enjoyable. Of course the Wife sat there bored to tears. I heard about it later!
Someone wrote on the Post about Suppresses. Interesting. It seemed like everyone there in Switzerland used them. I was told that the suppressors helped them keep their hearing. If we Americans use them, we go to jail. Why?
I went on line last week because I was told I would see the building of a suppressor. I did copy the thing. Maybe some day. Me, I really want and need one for when I shoot my 300 Win Mag. It is kind of loud. I use ear plugs and ear mufti both when I shoot that thing. Most everyone near me at the Carson City range uses them too. I do marvel at the Swiss. I wonder why the VA is issuing me hearing aids?
