Thanks Benny bone for explaining the details. How did ya learn about this stuff? Where do research to learn more about it? Also I never was able to spotlight the dsng otters at night. I would drive my truck out to the pond with my son. I figured if we could spotlight em, I could bag em, but they never appeared before we got bored. I only saw one all last winter when I was driving home and pulling over the drainage ditch bridge into the long lane that passes the pond. I spotted an otter on the ice but he was gone in the shadows quick. I did see another during deer season swimming in the drainage ditch during the day and missed him by a fraction of an inch with my 7-08. I'm not buying anymore fish to stock till I get rid of em
