The cost difference between a $200 and $500 barrel is not a lot when compared to the cost of the whole gun, including scope and all the ammunition you will ever fire out of it (and your reloading equipment). Do yourself a favour... shell-out a few extra dollars for a decent barrel.
The barrel is the gun and if it doesn't shoot then you won't be interested in shooting it.
