The ULTIMAX 100 was definitely a missed opportunity by the US armed forces. A moving cog wheel and sand doesn't sound like a good mix to me. Trial by fire would only tell. I can only go by what I have read in text's and that means nothing. But if it performs as I have read it wood be a game changer' especially in competition. I'm sure the Russians wouldn't adopt an unreliable assault rifle , but if it was for export only I wouldn't bet on it until it was proven. (meaning I'll let some one else gamble their money first).
