if you are really going to keep to 300 yard shots and can even go longer on mid sized game like deer, I would go with the 6.8, reason being isn't the barrel cost, its the overall cost of ammo, brass, bullets, etc. I think the Grendel is a great round, don't get me wrong, and has more long range capabilities than the 6.8, however that doesn't justify the cost of ammo or to reload (not including the wolf junk), i look at things in many ways, like resale, reloading, ammo, bullet selection, availability, etc.

well I don't really as I have one or two of everything lol
