Ok, so you're going with a 24" barrel. How it looks with iron sights is purely subjective, so that is up to you. The gas system on your barrel - do you know if it is Rifle Length? Mid Length? Magpul has some MOE hand guards for the longer gas systems for short money that will fit an A2 front sight.
What is this rifle's intended job? Range Toy? Hunting? Long Range Shooting? All the above?
Are you going only with iron sights? If hunting or long range, then you're likely going to want optics (unless you have "die audleraugen" (the eagle eyes).
If accuracy at distance is important, allow me to suggest going with a free float hand guard for your 24" tube. AR's with delta rings and end caps tend to shift their POI as you apply varying pressure to the hand guard, which tends to deflect the muzzle.
