Yeah the thermion specs are pretty impressive. I just dont like needing an external battery, which is one of the reasons the Trails are such a great value. My business partner just ordered one of each of the new NVision Halo optics to check out. As far as image quality and performance goes I fully expect them to be in a totally different league (Ill probably end up getting one at some point), but I love that detachable battery on my Trail.
