Cut-rifled barrels that are relatively common for the Grendel tend to run the price up compared to 6.8 SPC uppers, which nearly always use button-rifled barrels. Be sure that you're comparing apples to apples.
If you don't plan to shoot at longer distances, you'll notice little difference between the two cartridges.
