I haven't noticed any differences between a Grendel and the 6.8 SPC as to prices. Barrel/botl combos will be the same if comparing button-rifled barrels. Stripped uppers are the same. Mags are the same unless you buy PRI 6.8 mags, which are 3x the price of an ASC mag.
I have never seen a $300 difference between uppers in these cartridges over the years...they have been the same, in my experience dealing with numerous suppliers and vendors across the country.
