failure to feed/eject on Every round

My nephew recently bought an Anderson upper and an asc mag, and was test firing it at my place with wolf ammo, and it would not cycle one round. I told him to try elander mags . Any advice would be helpful. He got the complete upper for $200-220, and I'm thinking it just may be a shoddy build.

I will tell you what worked for me on my BCA upper and a cheap SS mag with Wolf steel ammo
my issue was double feeding + bolt jamming and failure to extract .. basically the casing would expand and not retract quickly enough to be extracted (brass cools of faster than steel)
magazine would feed one round and lift the other below just enough to lift the first round and miss the feeding ramp..

so this is what worked
#1 makes sure the mag is not too tight in the magwell , pinch the top lips of the magazine .. that worked and fixed the double feeding
make sure the chamber is clean , it might be just as simple as build up

for me honing the chamber did the trick now the steel wolf ammo cycle perfectly , you can buy a honing brush or you can go the cheap way and make a very effective tool with a cut up dowel , sandpaper and 00 steel wool to finish and polish ..

the video doesn't show the steel wool part , just take a steel wool pad and pull apart a 4-5" long ribbon , you don't need much
run the drill and let the steel wool wrap around the dowel until you have the desired thickness, add more if you need .. lubricate with your favorite gun lube oil run for a few minutes until the chamber is smooth and shiny.. while at it make sure the gas port is lined up and well secured in place
