I usually can't use much over 20x at 1000k around here. The mirage becomes too much. For closer range benchrest type stuff I'm sure it'd be handy, but if you don't plan on using it that way you might be better served with a 5.5-22x56 instead. If you use it for anything more mundane like hunting then the 5.5 power would also be nice to maintain. Just my opinion.
