If you really want to hunt deer and wild pigs out to 600yards I would go with the 18 inch barrel. I would use the 25 round magazine if I were hunting wild pig's. Lot's of back up shots, why limit yourself if you don't need to. just load what you want. Optics are a individual choice, but for hunting I prefer the shepard scope but it would take you out of your price range. You can save quite a lot if you can build your own upper, but that's your choice.I would stick with Alexander Arm's uppers just for the fact Bill will make it right if something goes wrong.
