The Nightforce are rock solid, but not mobile in the sense of the Larues. I've swapped my Larues and scopes between rifles, and gone back to the original, I've even shipped the rifle and optics cross country, seperately, and then slapped them back on. NO loss of zero. I'm a believer in Larue when it comes to scopes that MUST be mobile.
The Nightforce rings allow the use of bubble levels and Nightforces Angle Degree Indicator, which can be helpful on uneven terrain and downhill or uphil shots.
I agree with this concept as well and also use larue mounts. I have a QD LT-104 on my grendel and just as you stated there is no loss of zero upon detaching and reattaching the mount, they are definitely top of the line. I have never used the nightforce mounts though so i was curious about them, thanks for the info.!
