All my AR's wear Larue mounts, my 7mm WSM has Nightforce mounts. They both are top of the line. I went with Larues on my AR's because it allows quick swaps of scopes if one of my AR's goes down and I need to switch.
The Nightforce are rock solid, but not mobile in the sense of the Larues. I've swapped my Larues and scopes between rifles, and gone back to the original, I've even shipped the rifle and optics cross country, seperately, and then slapped them back on. NO loss of zero. I'm a believer in Larue when it comes to scopes that MUST be mobile.
The Nightforce rings allow the use of bubble levels and Nightforces Angle Degree Indicator, which can be helpful on uneven terrain and downhill or uphil shots.
