Adding a note here vs starting a new thread. PSA 12" upper, I have the front gas version. The gas port was fully open as mentioned above. There also was no .025 gap between the edge of the barrel and the gas block. I went ahead and made that adjustment. I found my sets of hex wrenches and determined that the gas port hex key was 5/64" and the locking screw hex was .050. I order a couple of each in the longer version from Amazon. I went ahead and turned the gas screw in 1 full turn. At the range two days ago I was getting hit with a lot of gas. Not having the longer hex wrenches, I just made notes and came home to clean and inspect.
I have a superlative arms GB on the 300 BO pistol sub and super with and wo the supp. 5 1/2 turns out, its good. 200 gr SB for sub, Barnes Vortex for super. Might put one on the PSA if situation warrants..fyi....
Not sure if the other GB offered by PSA are the same dimensions.
