The 458 SOCOM has the same case head size as a 308 and an even bigger body diameter than 308. It needs the ejection port widened to fit the case on ejection.
The 458 SOCOM operates at around 35K psi so the bolt can handle the thrust. At 60K psi it would fail. The case head size determines the rearward thrust so go larger and you must operate at lower pressure. Nothing is free.
