what criteria are you using to tell if your new rig will be elk-capable?
yards, KE, drop, bullet size (yet bullet construction is more important)...
Grendels have indeed taken elk, bull elk to be specific.
They're not what most people would take to the hunt, but then again, it all depends upon which criteria you're using to judge acceptability.
