Get the second volume of the grendel handloading manuals there is a very good graph in it to help map out predicted muzzle velocity's.
You can use the very ruff idea of 100 fps for every 4 inches of barrel as well. After chongraphing a 20 inch bolt action, 20 inch ar, 18 inch ar and 16 inch ar. I find the 25 fps to be plus or minus within 10 fps of where the speeds were at with factory ammo.
