There was lot's of evidence a while back. Some people had a Non Grendel chambered barrel from manufacturer X. They had issues with thier chambers running some factory ammo's. The differences where in the chamber not the name. Some manufacturers that didn't want to stick with the Alexander Arms demensions for the Grendel chamber decided to "Improve upon it" and make thier own "match grade barrel" with a tighter chamber. The tighter demensions had problems chambering some of the factory ammo out there.
Almost all of the older members here were on the previous website (before this one). There was plenty of evidence and issues. But, the whole subject became a nasty discussion that no one here wants to hash over again. The reason people mention there are some possible issues with Non Grendel barrels is because there was/are. They are only passing it along to help inform the newer grendel owners. If you don't want to accept or believe the information, by all means do what you want.
No one here wants to argue about Grendel or .264 LBC ...... it's old news.
I hope Liberty goes back to the Grendel specs. They make a really good barrel. My is a Grendel. I don't know if they are using the Grendel spec and just changed the name to .264 lbc. Or, if they decided to go with the tighter chamber. That's why I won't buy anything that is stamped Grendel on it. Too many "what ifs" and unknowns. If it says Grendel on it, you know it has the right chamber. Unfortunately, too many companies out there these days buying a .264 and slapping it in an upper and calling it a Grendel. Then, when the AA bolt won't work in it and the chamber is too tight ..... well you get the idea.
