I could load some dummy rounds in brass cases which would not last long upon repeated chambering in a AR.
Why didn't I grind the end of the firing pin off is a good question as well.
I did run a file over the end and with the chrome plating it did not bite.
There are often many ways to accomplish an objective.
This is just one of them; an inexpensive one. I don't see the problem.
