The best lesson taught to me by my parents was that life is not always fair. Like a grinding wheel, life will highly polish you are grind you to nothing, it all depends on what you are made of. If a persons life is sheltered and privileged, then the realities of that life will never be truly understood or appreciated. This is why the role of being a victim or helpless needy citizen, "dependent on others" will never be part of my make up.

You do not understand the left and that is why our side loses. To the left, firearms are a symbol of our side. Taking them away from us is something the left views as a way of beating us -- of winning a big part of the war they have been fighting to get our country to become another Venezuela or Cuba. You can argue the Constitution all you want. Doesn't matter to a leftist because they have no respect or regard for the Constitution or any of our rights. You can argue how many people get killed in car accidents, by malpractice, or falling out of bed and compare it to how many get murdered via the use of a firearm all you want. These things mean nothing to a leftist because their intent is to do away with our form of government and install (ideally) Communism but they are happy to start with socialism.
So I read all these factual arguments supporting the 2A and wonder what our side doesn't get about the leftists. I believe most of our side is afraid to call them Socialists or Communists but one thing for sure is this, the war is not over the 2A, it is over our way of governing and our freedoms.
