Checking the specs isn't the problem it's shooting the gun that I don't have time to fool with. Even I pull that barrel off and it's torqued on 100 lbs I ain't got time to be able to take it out and shoot groups to see if it makes a difference before the season starts. Once the season starts I ain't gonna miss a morning or afternoon in the field to waste time fiddling with this thing when I've got other guns I can use. Until the season starts I've got a hellatious work week to finish everything so I can take off next week to hunt, as well as get the rest of my geared prepped.
Ain't got no time for scrubs. I don't 'owe the gun' anything. After November when I get some time and I check everything out, if it turns out it is something other than the barrel causing the problem I will issue the upper a formal apology for saying it was 'crummy'. Until then it can sit in the safe and think about the ammo it made me waste.
