Wow! I just finished cleaning my rifle and thought the buffer was sitting a little funny in the tube. I removed it and it is in 2 pieces. The threads from the body to the head are stripped. I’ve never seen or heard of this before. I think I’m going to put a functional carbine buffer in it and try that out before going to a heavier buffer.
