I recently build a 6.5 Grendel upper with a 22" Criterion HBAR barrel and put an Midwest Industries 15" Combat Rail on it. I'm not really digging the MI rail. Its good quality, just tight around that barrel. The under side of the gas block is about hair thickness away from touching the inside of the handguard, and all the M-Lok accessories are pretty close too. I can forsee the barrel making contact with the handguard and accessories from barrel whip and load shooting off a rest.
Anyone have any other recommendations on handguards, maybe with pictures of your set ups? Also would like to stay M-Lok because I have accessories already. Am I stuck going with a "Suppressor Ready" rail to get the desired clearance im after?
