After all, it's the OP's money and time, there are 2 options presented here.
AFAIC I would opt for the Creed and keep the Grr down to 6-700 yds and be plenty happy. And I actually have both and used the Creed for the 1000 yds. Smiles on face when I hit. Wind calls were tough at 1000.
But if he wants to Grendel-challenge the steel at 1K, go for it..... get the looooong barrel and the goooood optics and shoot away! I also still think you don't get that much for the inches >24, but again that's just me.
