I do get what your saying, even with my limit experience in handloading. But let me explain myself a lil more why I feel what your doing and digesting is unsafe.

Three chambers and all can come with headspace set to one of two bolts either .136 or .125

And they all can fire sammi grendel factory ammo as long as they use the bolt the chamber was headspaced too.

Now you go adjusting case lengths and shoulder angles and I'm sure I'm missing some other kind of measurement of the sammi grendel brass to make up or change headspace to work with a bolt not setup to headspace in that barrel well sir I'm sorry to me that is problem and your creating a accident in the making cause sooner or later it will happen and Murphy's law will bite you.

My second reason why I firm in my be live that doing it this way is dangerous is some of the more senoir members of this fourm who have been in the grendel game since the beginning and have more years of loading knowledge then I can hope to learn in the next 20 years have on many many many threads.

Said the proper way to figure out a headspace issue is to get the go-nogo gauges and also contact the maker or supplier of the barrel and confirm the bolt need for proper headspace and then to get the proper bolt for headspace.

Not once has any member ever said to adjust the case's measurements to make up or reduce headspace so someone could use a bolt that wasn't meant to be used in that barrel.

So now I'm very clear on why I don't think what you sujested is a safe practice to do.

Your free to do as you wish it's your rifle and your life but until a very senior member here clearly states that doing what you sujested is safe to correct a headspace issue, I would advice others not to try this method.
