If you think your headspace is excessive, why not resize your brass just enough to fit your barrel and bolt and just shoot.
Do you have another Grendel that you are trying to make all your ammo fit in both?
I do have a second grendel. With the factory bolt in the Radical I was getting .009" between the two chambers. I swapped the oden works bold from my other upper into the radical (the radical was the longer chamber) and my cases are only .001" different. I measured the locking lugs on the radical bolt and they are shorter, and starting to show obvious peening even though the upper only has a few hundred rounds through it. The bolt face is also deeper by .002" at .138"
