I am not discounting your own experience, I get the same effect but to a lesser degree.

I would bet that you have pressure issues due to altitude and or being submerged under water as well.

We feel the pressure, we don't "feel" the decibel level. If we did we would not shoot without ear pro.

Sounds good to me all I know is that it felt like I got stabbed in the inner ear, and felt a quick 'wind' on my face and arms.. It may also be pertinant that I was prone and everything around me was rock (NV desert). I also forgot to mention in my original post that I wasn't wearing ear pro. With ear pro the WCI brake is excellent.
