I do advocate using the same sight-in range and vertical offsets for all the sights one uses for a given cartridge. The actual zero should reflect what will work best for the expected most stressfull shooting at intermediate ranges.
I have also chased the mpbr on ballisric charts and with more than one ballistic calculator. For me, a lot of my casual shooting is done with targets that are significantly smaller than the vital zone of a deer. Hence the target size for my mpbr is smaller. That allows me to think only in terms of holdover when the target is out yonder.
