LR55 or 52 or any other veterans with some experience in the battle zero can correct me if I am mistaken, but the battle sight zero was implemented to minimize space needed for ranges.
It is acceptable when the underlying accuracy is 3 - 5 moa. Remember, however, that any errors in zero at 25 meters will be four times as large at 100 meters.
The folks suggesting that one sight in with iron sights for their customary optical sight 100 yard zero are giving the best advice. The holdovers and hold unders will then be the same for closer ranges and be good enough out to 200 yards.
That way practice for one adds to the muscle memory needed for the other and is one less mildly complicated set of things to deal with under stress.
