Blaster, can I make a suggestion? You might just do yourself a favor and buy a PSA lower build kit for ~~120 bucks when they put em on sale, a 40 dollar lower, and just build a pistol lower. No tax stamp, and no long pin and weld. Best of both worlds. You can't go wrong. I don't think. Maybe not. Perhaps.
Hell I just bought myself one from them for the SB3 kit and would sell you everything else you need to build yourself a pistol lower (except the lower itself) for a c-note. That should make you able to build one for ~~140ish. Just an idea. You'd avoid the stamp, your pistol would go down as an "other", so it'd be open until you re-registered it, if you have to, and you could take them both to the range and swap em easier than moving money from pocket to pocket.
