We don't we discuss how to protect our rights...?

That's been tried before. Makes for a very short thread, since about the only ideas anybody posts are the old standards like vote and write letters.

This constant self ego-stroking does no one any good and, in my view, leads to harm for our cause. The harm arises because one person insists on a particular point of view and must always have the last word even though several very knowledgeable writers have shown his positions be wrong or at least seriously at odds with writings by our founding fathers and their contemporaries.

At odds with some of the Founders' writings, perhaps, but quite consistent with what is written in the Constitution and the Second Amendment.
