Was thinking about waiting for an RDB in 6.5 grendel but figured I may be waiting a long time (or forever) so I picked one up in 5.56.
Amazing how equal it is with a 17.3" 5.56 barrel to a 10.5" 6.5 grendel AR - basically the same size and similar overall performance. The AR is a touch lighter with a better trigger and has more accuracy potential, the rdb shoots flatter and has more factory ammo options.
Wish the RDB had a better free floated hand guard, as the stock one feels cheap and flimsy and seems to hurt accuracy if you're not careful in how you rest it. I have at least 500 rds through mine with no malfunctions other than the ones induced by under gassing while adjusting the gas block (mine seems pretty sensitive to gas settings but once dialed in for a specific ammo or silencer it runs great). Won't ever replace my ARs but is an interesting gun and a worthwhile purchase IMO.
