The 5R barrels dont engrave the bimetal steel copper washed jacket on Wolf/Branual bullets very well. Traditional Enfield rifling tends to shoot Wolf ammo a little better. I agree with the previous post, try some Hornady American Gunner ammo from Sportsman wharehouse or Hornady Black ELD-M before deciding if you want a different barrel. Wolf steel cased ammo is not known for consistent accuracy out of most barrels. It is cheap close range plinking ammo or good enough for close range CQB drills. Wolf is good enough to bang steel to a few hundred yards but not great for shooting small groups on paper targets.
The 6.5 Grendel can be very addictive as many forum members have multiple firearms chambered in 6.5 Grendel. I currently have four AR-15s in 6.5 Grendel plus a Cz 527 American in 6.5 Grendel. If you catch the bug like the rest of us youll see a need for a different 6.5 Grendel. Its a good idea to shoot your 6.5 Grendel to evaluate its performance and whether you like the barrel length and profile. Many members have bought long barrels only to realize a shorter barrel might suit their needs more appropriately.
