Maybe other companies don't care about that if they don't have contracts, but it isn't a luxury DoD suppliers can afford. Makes sense that Mark would actively track down the 3rd party and shut it down. He's also huge on supporting the military in every way he can possibly, as his dad was US Navy. Foreign military partners can acquire articles through the appropriate channels, but that doesn't help the private citizen who is looking for their own components in a restrictive environment.

It's OK 52, I'm well aware of import/export requirements, costs, effort, patience and politics. Mind you, if I lived over there I'd be broke! My advice, make sure you never take for granted the access you have. As for Mark, he did what he thought he had to do but that doesn't change the fact that between us, I am entitled to believe he acted dishonourably. Scope mounts are dime a dozen in every country so we both come out on top and neither of us lose sleep over it.
