Meh. Like you said, campaign rhetoric tends to get heated. I'm talking about POTUS' day-to-day behavior while in office.
To the best of my recollection, there has not been another POTUS in modern history who was so lacking in civility.

I think society as a whole is to be blamed. Manners, civility, etc has become a thing of the past. Just ask my wife about certain students and their behavior she contends with every day. Our leaders are a reflection of the new norms. The press use to hide these things like certain presidential indiscretions, but today the more outrageous the better. The cigar incident in the oval office is a good example. In the past, a president would have been shamed into permanent hiding, instead he was re-elected. Now we have elected representatives and movie stars encouraging violence and breaking the law. Sad!
