We live in a neighborhood right now in a concrete block house, half the interior walls are also block walls so it's pretty solid..my next door neighbors know I hunt deer and hogs and see me with a AR in 6.5gr or 450 Bushmaster a lot..I told them not to worry about the "AR15" it is for hunting. There are small kids in the neighborhood, so I don't want to shoot thru our doors and windows, I keep a 20 gauge pump(youth model) with #4 birdshot for home defence and a 9mm Glock for back up. So my choice is the shotgun, my wife is to hide in the corner with the 17 shot Glock and 2 extra mags.. I saw a bird dog get accidently shot once with #7 1/2 shot by a new hunter, pretty sure 4 shot will take down the bad guy under 20ft away quickly.
