Tipsymutt there have been a few threads in regards to using a 6.5 Grendel instead of 5.56/223 for self defense or general purpose rifle. I did a test comparing the 6.5 Grendel to 5.56 with nearly identical AR-15 rifles. The focus of this test was CQB and using a shot timer. You might find this test interesting.
