6.5 G vs 300 Blk in 14.5" AR?

For home defense in a pistol I would go with the 300 Blk. Burns all the powder "less blast", less recoil "faster follow up shots", reliable mags. If you are going with a rifle and might use it for hunting, the Grendel would be my first choice.
